The Vista Unified School District earned state and national recognition for academic performance, achievement-gap reduction, music education, and innovative learning programs. Particularly notable are its designation as a 2025 Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll District, Mission Vista High School's 2026 California Distinguished School Award, and the district-wide Best Communities for Music Education recognition from the NAMM Foundation. The District is seeking to ensure its school facilities match the caliber of its educational programs. 

 

Aging local schools have failing pipes, gas and water leaks, hazardous materials, and over 400 deteriorating portables. The 2026 Vista USD school bond will modernize facilities, improve safety and accessibility, without raising taxes.
